The government has changed the rules of storage of grain in elevators
the Cabinet on March 10, abolished the effect of instruction No. 661, governing the accounting of grain and processing carried out with it operations in enterprises with hlubina and grain processing.
the Effect of the order № 166-R starts from may 10. It will optimize the storage of batches of grain to port elevators and increase the productivity of grain terminals.
ISO International standards, according to which foreign trade transactions are concluded for the export of grain, allow mixing of different classes of grain in the hold of the vessel, at the time, as domestic Standards require separate storage of the grain. This led to underutilization of the capacities of port elevators during the formation of ship parties and reduce the productivity of grain elevators and ports.
Repeal of obsolete rules, which has long insisted the experts of ASPU, reduce logistics costs, will allow to optimize the process of grain storage, improve the capacity of grain elevators and ports and, as a consequence, will allow to increase foreign exchange revenues. It is expected that the decision will give the opportunity to obtain, by 2020, more than 10 billion UAH.
