Ukraine will reduce the production of sugar in the new season

According to the experts ' forecast of "Ukrtsukor" in the new season in Ukraine will work 34-35 sugar plants in comparison with 42 factories that worked in the current MG. Accordingly, the sugar production will be reduced by 23-29% to 1.3-1.4 million tons.

A gradual decline in prices, in some places below the break-even point, reduced the financial reserves of the producers of all countries, and Ukraine in particular. It is difficult to predict the yield and cocroft beet, sowing of which is almost completed, however, according to preliminary estimates, the sugar production will be reduced by 23-29% to its lowest 2013 level of 1.3-1.4 million tons", - told the experts of the Association.

In Ukraine the situation is aggravated by the loss of the territory, and accordingly, part of the internal market, permanent logistical problems and rising prices of the means of production.

In Chicago futures on raw sugar in almost half a year remains at 280 $/t. prices continue to push the prospects of a good harvest of sugar cane in India and Brazil.
