From April to November in the port navigation period begins. Transportation is carried out by ships towing port with the composition of the non-self-propelled vessels in the basin of the Dnieper with its tributaries upstream to p. Chernobyl, downstream to the port of Kherson. The most promising in the region is the transportation of mineral and construction cargoes (sand, gravel, stone, brick, asphalt, etc.); concrete products (reinforced concrete products); metal. The port is open for vessels of type “river - sea” and has the ability to receive various goods from the ports of the Dnieper, the Black and Mediterranean seas, as well as present products of Ukrainian producers on the European market. Cargo handling is performed by the portal cranes of 5-20 tons by transshipment from one means of transport (including rail, road, water). To store these goods, the port has covered warehouses with a total area of 1063 m2 and open specialized warehouses with the total area – 30600м2.
