What surprises await farmers in the Budget for 2017?
To Parliament on 15 September, the government had introduced a bill "On state budget of Ukraine for 2017". Speaking about priority directions of the budget policy, the Prime Minister of Ukraine V. Groysman stressed that the special support of the agrarian sector of the country.
He said that to support small and medium-sized farms next year will be allocated 5.5 billion UAH. that will allow farmers to acquire or upgrade small-scale mechanization, tractors and trailed equipment. This will enable farmers to increase productivity and competitiveness in world markets.
the Cabinet of Ministers approved a decree according to which from next year to support the agricultural sector from the budget annually will be allocated at least 1% of GDP of the industry. Due to the direct support of agricultural officials will try to compensate for possible losses of Ukrainian farmers from changes in the tax system and the abolition of the special regimes for VAT, which must be abolished from 1 January 2017.

Southerner says that no changes to the Tax code this year could not be included because missing deadlines, to discuss possible concepts and to take the necessary bills. Since the issue of tax reform has been postponed, it is possible to speak only about the improvement of the system of administration of existing taxes.
the Minister of agrarian policy announced that his office plans this year to obtain from the state budget of 450 mln. for cash support for small and medium-sized farms. Among the total number of agricultural enterprises of Ukraine, the share of such households is 86%. This category includes businesses that process up to 500 hectares of land.
