Ukrainian farmers will have the right to priority purchase of cultivated land

The government of Ukraine at a meeting on June 23 adopted amendments to the procedure for maintaining the State Register of real property rights, which will ensure the correct sale procedure and correct registration of the entered information. This was reported by the press service of the government with reference to the Prime Minister of Ukraine D. Shmyhal.

When the land market starts working, farmers will have the right to purchase priority land plots on which they have worked for many years. At the same time, All purchase and sale transactions will be checked for compliance with the requirements of the law, " the prime minister said.

In addition, he instructed the Ministry of agricultural policy of Ukraine to ensure an appropriate level of information about the positive aspects of land reform.

Among other priorities of the agricultural sector, the head of government called the development of land reclamation systems, as hot weather increasingly creates arid conditions and risks of crop loss by agricultural producers. Therefore, now the priority for the government and the relevant ministry is the project for the development of irrigation systems in the southern regions of Ukraine.
