Ukraine reduces production of bread and flour
According to the state statistics Committee, within ten months of the current year the production of bread and bakery products in the country decreased compared to the same period last year by 7% to $ 877,1 thousand tons.
In October, the volume of bread increased relative to September by 0.7% up to 90 thousand tons, which is 4.6% lower than in October 2016.
Production of wheat flour in comparison with the previous year decreased by 1.5%. As of November 1, produced 1.59 million tons of flour. In October, the volume namelennogo flour increased relative to September by 4.4% to 180 thousand tonnes, which is still 2.5% lower than in October 2016.
Experts believe that by the end of the current year reduction of production of bread and flour in Ukraine will continue because of reduced consumption of these products in the domestic market due to changes in the diet of the population.
the export of flour increased and in season 2017/18 on world markets delivered to 163,3 thousand tons of product.
