Tunisia purchased 75,000 tons of wheat at a tender at $5/ton more than in July

The Tunisian Grain Agency (ODC) purchased 75,000 tons of common wheat of any origin at an international tender on July 30, with shipment from August 25 to September 30, 2026, at an average price of $288.19/ton C&F, which is $5/ton higher than the price of the previous tender on July 21, indicating an increase in world prices against the backdrop of a possible reduction in supplies of Black Sea wheat, European traders report.

 

The following lots were purchased at the tender:

• 25 thousand tons from Grainstar at a price of $286/ton,
• 25 thousand tons at Grainstar at a price of $289/ton,
• 25 thousand tons in Casillo at a price of $289.57/ton.

 

It should be noted that an important condition of the tender was the prohibition for suppliers to refer to any force majeure circumstances related to the aggravation of the situation in the Black Sea, which could make grain delivery impossible.

 

Also within the framework of the tender, ODC purchased 50 thousand tons of feed barley of any origin for delivery on August 25 - September 25, 2026 in two batches of 25 thousand tons each from operators CHS at a price of $ 266.48 / t C & F and Casillo at a price of $ 269.69 / t C & F. The purchase price of barley has almost not changed compared to the previous purchase for delivery in May , as the world supply of barley is increasing.

 

Recall that in the tender on July 21, the Tunisian Grain Agency (ODC) purchased 100 thousand tons of wheat with shipment from August 10 to September 9, 2026 at an average price of $283.19/ton C&F, and

 

On June 4, it purchased 75,000 tons of soft wheat of any origin at a price of $268.16/ton C&F with delivery from July 1 to August 15.
