Weather in the United States, Ukraine and Brazil will soon determine the trends of grain markets

Traders are closely monitoring the weather conditions in Brazil, where corn and soybeans have been sown in the southern regions after recent precipitation, and rain will begin in the central regions next week.

In Ukraine, dry and warm weather will prevail for 7-10 days, which will increase the harvesting of late crops, which will increase the volume of offers on the market.

In the United States, moderate to heavy rains took place in the corn belt this week, which delayed harvesting, but improved the condition of winter wheat crops. In the next 7-10 days, Suta will be established in the Midwest and Plains, sometimes hot weather with temperatures up to 30 ^OhC. This will speed up harvesting of late crops, but will increase the stress on winter wheat crops, especially in the southwestern states, where soil moisture reserves are quite low. Droughts will increase in North Dakota.

In the south of Brazil, there were favorable rains for sowing soybeans and corn and the development of winter wheat crops. Corn in the country is sown 22% of the planned Area (23% last year), and in the southern states of Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná – 50% and 28% of the area, respectively, and good shoots have already been obtained. Next week, heavy rains will take place in the central regions, which will speed up sowing. If the rainy season starts as it should at the end of September and brings heavy precipitation, this will reduce the pressure on soybean and corn markets caused by forecasts of an increase in sowing areas due to high prices and a shortage of corn supply.

In Ukraine, precipitation and cold weather delayed harvesting of soybeans and sunflowers this week, which led to an increase in purchase prices. But the dry weather forecast for the next 10-14 days will speed up harvesting and allow you to complete the sowing of winter crops. Sufficient reserves of soil moisture will allow you to get good shoots.

Heavy rains will occur in the south-west of Russia, which will improve the condition of winter crops. But in the Volga region, there is still a lack of moisture, so winter wheat crops there need additional precipitation.

In Argentina, last week there was light precipitation, favorable for wheat crops, but insufficient for soybeans and corn crops, as soil moisture reserves are low. But according to forecasts, only light rains will follow during the week.

In Canada, prolonged rains delay the harvesting of late crops. Next week, only Saskatchewan will have dry weather, while precipitation will continue in Manitoba and Alberta.
