The Ministry of economy and of agriculture is accepting applications for agricultural producers for the distribution of state aid in 2020

In 2019 state funding programs to support the development of the agricultural sector amounted to 5.9 billion UAH, which is UAH 1.7 bn higher than the level in 2018. In accordance with the provisions of the new budget in 2020 for these programs it is planned to allocate not less than 1% of the budget, which corresponds to 8.5 billion UAH. However, while the budget for the support of farmers registered only of 4.24 billion, of which UAH 4 billion will be financial support of agricultural producers.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister of economy and agriculture T. Vysotsky with representatives of agrobotany, which was held January 2, was identified additional areas of support of agricultural producers in 2020:

support the processing industry,

reimbursement of the cost of purchased equipment and sligeachnIKI,

update orders for the distribution of funds, lists, etc.,

suggestions for changes in the tax code.

• support livestock and horticulture,

All proposals of the Ministry will take until January 10, and then process them in the focus groups.

In 2019, the state support programmes were not fully funded certain costs of agricultural producers. So, farmers purchased domestic machinery and equipment in the amount of 5,77 billion UAH, which is by 31.2% more than in 2018. Moreover, 25% of compensation cost in a total amount of 640 million UAH was only producers who submitted applications to September (inclusive). And application of October-November in the amount of UAH 563 million remained unfunded because funds that was laid outand in the budget, was less than the demand for this program.
