Bunge Global SA and CM Holding A/V acquire grain terminal in Polish port of Gdynia

Under the EU Merger Regulation, the European Commission has authorised the acquisition of joint control over the Baltic Grain Terminal (BTZ) by Bunge Global SA and CM Holding A/V, World Grain reports.

The BTZ terminal located in the Polish port of Gdynia will be modernized, and its capacity is planned to be significantly increased in accordance with the terms of the 30-year concession agreement that the companies, through their subsidiaries, concluded with the port authority.

The European Commission examined the deal under its standard merger control procedure and concluded that "the deal does not raise competition concerns as it has a limited impact on the markets in which the companies in question operate."
