Groysman congratulated the farmers and promised to increase assistance

Prime Minister of Ukraine V. Groysman congratulated workers of the agricultural sector on their professional holiday and promised that the government will increase assistance to agricultural producers.

"the government's support programme has already proved its efficiency, so in the future we will strengthen and make more targeted. The growth of economic independence of Ukraine will increase reinvestment in the army and social programs. And agricultural industry that produces 17% of the country's GDP, is one of the key" - said the Prime Minister.

Head of government noted that in 2018, Ukrainian farmers have achieved significant results, increased the grain yield up to 65 million tons versus 61 million tons in 2017 State aid received more than 6 thousand enterprises, and in the programs of subsidies for cattle was attended by nearly 104 thousand households. Domestic agricultural products are buying the 190 countries of the world, and by the end of the year it is planned to complete negotiations with Israel and Turkey on the establishment of free trade zones.

To support agriculture in 2019 will be allocated more than 7 billion UAH. The task of the agriculture Ministry, the Prime Minister considers the improvement of mechanisms of targeted support, which will increase opportunities for agricultural producers. In addition, he urged not only to implement agrocare on world markets, but also to promote processing in the country.
