Skadovsk port mainly provides passenger and car ferry transportation in Turkey.
The port assigned to the ports Genichesk and Horly.
Capacities of the port allow to process up to 500 thousand t bulk cargo, 100 tons General and up to 100 thousand tons of cereals cargo per year. The ferry terminal can handle up to 7 200 heavy motor vehicles a year.
In the USSR the port has specialized in mining and transportation of sand. Because of the crisis in the construction industry, the sand production decreased to 350 thousand tons per hour.
Today the port is open for the international message. Organized lines for the transportation of vehicles from Turkey and back.
Port designed for the simultaneous processing of 4 vessels: type "ro-ro", a bulk carrier with a deadweight of 3 thousand tons, a versatile vessel with a deadweight of 2 thousand tons and the tanker (the oil berths are currently under reconstruction).
The port area is 8.5 ha. In accordance with the General scheme of development may expand the territory of 16.5 hectares. the Length of the berthing line is 929 m, from them in working condition – 536 m. the port has 1 cargo area and 6 berths. In operation of the berths No. 1, 2, 3.
There is no railway there.
The port has two sheltered warehouses at berth No. 3: warehouse for storage of General cargo area of 448 square meters with a capacity of 3538 CBM; grain warehouse with an area of 1798 sq. m, capacity 9967 cubic meters.
On the southern pier (No. 6) has a licensed warehouse with an area of 515,3 sq m, with capacity 3538 cubic meters At the berths №№ 1, 6 have open storage areas with a total area of sqm 10324
