Zelensky signed a bill with soybean and rapeseed amendments

On September 2, President Volodymyr Zelensky signed Bill No. 13157 on amendments to the Tax Code in connection with the adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Integrated Prevention and Control of Industrial Pollution", which contains the so-called "soybean-rapeseed amendments." This is evidenced by data on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

This bill included 2 amendments related to the export of oilseeds. The first one is directly related to the duty on oilseeds. The second one concerns the creation of a fund to support commodity producers. This was a compromise demanded by the agricultural committee in order to support the "soybean-rapeseed" amendments.

After the law is signed by the President, it enters into force the day after its official publication in the newspaper "Holos Ukrainy" and in the Official Gazette of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The document must be made public within 15 days after signing.

"Bill 13157, which contains "soybean amendments" aimed at supporting domestic processing, has been signed. Congratulations!!!," commented the event, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy D. Hetmantsev.

Recall that on July 16, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted in the second reading for draft law No. 13157, which contained soybean and rapeseed amendments. Initially, the parliament rejected these amendments, which is why deputies began to block the rostrum. Later, it was unblocked and voting continued.
