Due to the high price of corn, Ukraine has increased the export

According to the monthly monitoring of "APK-inform" in March, the sea ports of Ukraine have been shipped for export 3,514 million tons of grain, which is 40% higher than in February.

While export sales of corn rose the most – by 80% to 2,551 million tons, barley – 11% to 69 thousand tons. at the same time exports of wheat declined from 1,036 million tons in February to 894 thousand tons in March.

most of Ukrainian wheat in March acquired Morocco (180 thousand tonnes), maize – Egypt (579 thousand tonnes), barley – Saudi Arabia (39 thousand tons).

Since early March, corn prices in Ukraine increased by 20-25 $/t, so the manufacturers has increased sales. World corn prices stabilized at 200-210 $/t on FOB basis, the price of Ukrainian corn on FOB fell to 200-204 $/t, which corresponds to 190-191 $/t on CPT-port, and almost reaches the level of wheat prices with protein 12,5%.

Due to high demand export shipments of corn from the U.S. last week rose to 51.1%, updated record of the current season and amounted to 1.9 million tonnes, while export sales decreased by 6.5% to 839,9 th T.
