Grain stocks in Ukraine as of March 1 exceeded last year's by 3.8 million tons

According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, as of March 1, stocks of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 18.4 million tons, which exceeded the corresponding figure last year by 3.8 million tons.

Compared to last year, stocks of these crops in the warehouses of agricultural enterprises increased by 22.6% to 12.5 million tons, and at enterprises engaged in processing and storage - by 32.9% to 5.9 million tons.

By crop, stocks as of March 1 increased compared to last year:

• wheat – by 43.8% to 6.2 million tons,
• corn – by 33.1% to 10.45 million tons,
• barley – by 4.8% to 786.8 thousand tons,
• sunflower – by 1.4% to 3.5 million tons.

At the same time, rye stocks decreased by 6.8% to 47.8 thousand tons.
