Wheat, barley and corn stocks in Ukraine are 60-67% higher than last year

According to the State Statistics Service, as of May 1, 2026, stocks of grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine amounted to 12.7 million tons, which was 4.8 million tons higher than the corresponding figure last year.

Thus, compared to last year, grain stocks at agricultural enterprises increased by 52.8% to 8.1 million tons, and at enterprises engaged in processing and storage - by 74.5% to 4.6 million tons.

By crop, stocks increased compared to last year:

• wheat – by 67.5% to 4.4 million tons,
• corn for grain – by 58.7% to 7.1 million tons,
• barley – by 66.5% to 589.2 thousand tons,
• rye – by 7.6% to 39.5 thousand tons.

At the same time, sunflower stocks decreased by 9.1% to 2.05 million tons.
