Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on October 8, 2026
Ukraine's grain market remains highly uneven in early October. Wheat prices in the port direction are holding at relatively strong levels, while new-crop corn remains under considerable supply pressure. In central regions, the situation is additionally affected by rapidly increasing new-crop supplies, the need to free up storage capacity and high transportation costs to ports and Ukraine's western border.
Corn is trading at around UAH 7,900/t on a CPT terminal basis, while EXW prices have fallen to UAH 5,500/t and FCA bids to UAH 5,900/t, with the latter declining by another UAH 417/t. The substantial gap between domestic and export-oriented prices illustrates the strong impact of logistics costs on farm-level prices. Export benchmarks remain around $203/t DAF and $270/t CIF.
Wheat continues to show greater resilience in the port direction. Grade 2 wheat has risen to UAH 8,920/t on a CPT terminal basis, while Grade 3 wheat is holding at around UAH 8,785/t. The domestic market is weaker, however, with EXW Grade 2 wheat falling to UAH 6,110/t and Grade 3 wheat to UAH 5,700/t. FCA bids for Grade 3 wheat have also declined to UAH 5,700/t. This is widening the gap between prices near production areas and demand linked to export infrastructure.
Processor demand remains an important source of support for the sunflower market. Sunflower seeds are quoted at approximately UAH 17,279/t EXW and UAH 17,667/t on a CPT processor basis, while FCA bids have increased to UAH 19,000/t. The wide spread between delivery bases indicates localized competition for raw materials and the importance of proximity to processing facilities.
Soybean prices remain relatively stable, with CPT terminal bids at around UAH 18,000/t, EXW at UAH 16,650/t and CPT processor bids at UAH 17,000/t. FCA prices are around UAH 15,500/t. Barley is holding near UAH 7,100/t on a CPT terminal basis, while GMO rapeseed is quoted at around UAH 22,000/t.
As of October 8, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,920/t, corn at UAH 7,900/t on a CPT terminal basis and UAH 5,500/t EXW, barley at UAH 7,100/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 17,279/t, soybeans at UAH 16,650/t EXW, and GMO rapeseed at UAH 22,000/t.
