Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on September 30, 2026
At the end of September, Ukraine's grain market remains under pressure from increasing new-crop supplies. The strongest pressure continues to be seen in the corn market, where growing supply coincides with limited storage capacity and high transportation costs to the country's main export channels.
Corn is currently being purchased at around UAH 6,500/t EXW and UAH 6,300/t FCA. Domestic prices remain significantly below the levels seen in mid-September. Pressure is particularly noticeable in central regions: as harvesting progresses, producers need to free up storage capacity, while the considerable distance to ports increases logistics costs. At the same time, the export benchmark is around $203/t DAF and $280/t CIF.
The wheat market remains considerably more stable. Grade 2 wheat is holding at around UAH 8,815/t on a CPT terminal basis, while Grade 3 wheat is quoted at UAH 8,731/t. EXW prices are lower at approximately UAH 6,655/t and UAH 6,150/t respectively, illustrating the significant impact of logistics and delivery location on procurement prices.
The sunflower market remains mixed. The EXW price is around UAH 17,279/t, while processors are offering approximately UAH 17,567/t on a CPT basis and some FCA bids have increased to UAH 17,000/t. The differences between delivery bases indicate that processor demand and the location of supplies continue to play an important role in price formation.
Soybean prices remain relatively stable, with some bids showing moderate strengthening: around UAH 16,650/t EXW, UAH 16,850/t CPT processor and UAH 16,750/t FCA. Barley is holding at approximately UAH 6,500/t on a CPT terminal basis, while non-GMO rapeseed is quoted at around UAH 22,500/t EXW.
As of September 30, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,815/t, corn at UAH 6,500/t, barley at UAH 6,500/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 17,279/t, soybeans at UAH 16,650/t, and rapeseed at UAH 22,500/t.
