Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on October 2, 2026
At the beginning of October, Ukraine's grain and oilseed markets continue to show mixed dynamics. New-crop corn remains under the strongest pressure, while the sunflower market is showing signs of a local recovery in procurement prices. Wheat has edged lower, while soybean price movements vary considerably depending on the delivery basis.
Pressure from the new corn harvest remains significant. The CPT terminal price declined by UAH 375/t to UAH 8,050/t, while FCA bids fell by UAH 248/t to UAH 6,000/t. Corn is being purchased at around UAH 6,500/t EXW. Central regions remain particularly exposed as harvesting increases physical supplies, farmers need to free up storage capacity, and transportation to ports and other export channels remains expensive. Export benchmarks stand at around $203/t DAF and $270/t CIF.
Wheat prices are showing a moderate decline. Grade 2 wheat on a CPT terminal basis fell by UAH 21/t to UAH 8,817/t, while Grade 3 wheat declined by UAH 26/t to UAH 8,736/t. A more pronounced decrease was recorded for Grade 4 wheat, which fell by UAH 174/t to UAH 7,652/t. EXW prices for Grade 2 and Grade 3 wheat remain at approximately UAH 6,655/t and UAH 6,150/t respectively.
Sunflower prices are showing a local recovery. The EXW price increased by UAH 71/t to UAH 17,350/t, CPT processor bids rose by UAH 115/t to UAH 17,540/t, and FCA bids increased by UAH 312/t to UAH 16,500/t. This may indicate stronger buying activity from some processors following the previous decline in procurement prices.
Soybean prices remain mixed. The CPT terminal price declined by UAH 200/t to UAH 17,000/t, while CPT processor bids increased to UAH 17,000/t. FCA prices fell to UAH 15,500/t, while DAF bids increased to $450/t. The differences between delivery bases highlight the continuing importance of logistics and sales channels in domestic price formation.
Barley strengthened noticeably to UAH 7,100/t on a CPT terminal basis. Non-GMO rapeseed remains at approximately UAH 22,500/t EXW, while GMO rapeseed is quoted at around UAH 21,500/t on a CPT terminal basis.
As of October 2, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,817/t, corn at UAH 6,500/t, barley at UAH 7,100/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 17,350/t, soybeans at UAH 16,650/t, and rapeseed at UAH 22,500/t. Current procurement prices for grain and oilseed crops by region and delivery basis are provided in the table below.
