Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on October 14, 2026
Ukraine's grain market remains under pressure from increasing new-crop supplies in mid-October. This is particularly evident in the corn market, where substantial supplies in central regions are combined with farmers' need to free up storage capacity and high transportation costs to ports. At the same time, milling wheat and barley continue to command considerably higher prices in the direction of export infrastructure.
Corn is quoted at around UAH 8,000/t on a CPT terminal basis, compared with only UAH 6,000/t EXW. FCA bids declined by another UAH 165/t to UAH 5,800/t. The gap between farm-area and port-oriented corn prices therefore reaches approximately UAH 2,000–2,200/t. This illustrates the strong impact of logistics: with ample new-crop supplies, producers located farther from ports have greater difficulty achieving export-equivalent prices. DAF corn is quoted at around $190/t.
The wheat market is more stable, although spreads between delivery bases remain substantial. Grade 2 wheat is trading at around UAH 8,902/t on a CPT terminal basis versus UAH 6,110/t EXW. Grade 3 wheat is quoted at around UAH 8,683/t in the port direction and UAH 5,500/t EXW, while FCA bids stand at UAH 5,700/t. Exporter demand therefore continues to support port prices well above domestic levels.
Sunflower seeds remain under pressure from new-crop supplies. EXW prices are around UAH 16,900/t, while CPT processor bids stand at approximately UAH 16,667/t. High-oleic sunflower commands a higher price of around UAH 18,250–19,000/t depending on the delivery basis, reflecting a premium for specialized raw material.
The soybean market also shows significant differences depending on the sales channel. Soybeans are quoted at around UAH 16,850/t EXW and UAH 17,133/t on a CPT processor basis, while FCA bids declined by UAH 400/t to UAH 16,000/t. Export benchmarks are around $445/t DAF and $473/t CIF. Barley is holding at approximately UAH 7,100/t on a CPT terminal basis, while GMO rapeseed is quoted at around UAH 22,000/t.
As of October 14, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,902/t, corn at UAH 8,000/t on a CPT terminal basis and UAH 6,000/t EXW, barley at UAH 7,100/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 16,900/t, soybeans at UAH 16,850/t EXW, and GMO rapeseed at UAH 22,000/t.
