Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on October 12, 2026
Ukraine's grain market remains mixed in mid-October. Prices for milling wheat and corn are showing some recovery in the port direction, while new-crop supplies continue to put pressure on certain domestic delivery bases. A substantial price gap persists between producing regions and export channels due to logistics and storage costs as well as differences in buyer activity.
The most notable change is occurring in the corn market. The CPT terminal price increased by UAH 300/t to UAH 8,100/t, while EXW corn remains at only UAH 5,500/t and FCA declined by another UAH 172/t to UAH 5,800/t. This leaves a gap of around UAH 2,600/t between EXW and CPT terminal prices. New-crop supplies continue to weigh on prices in central regions, where producers also face limited storage capacity and high transportation costs to export channels.
Wheat is showing greater resilience. Grade 2 wheat has risen to UAH 8,969/t on a CPT terminal basis, while Grade 3 wheat is trading at around UAH 8,751/t. EXW prices are considerably lower at UAH 6,110/t for Grade 2 and UAH 5,500/t for Grade 3 wheat. FCA Grade 3 wheat dropped by UAH 750/t to UAH 5,700/t, highlighting the strong influence of delivery terms and buyer location on domestic prices.
Domestic sunflower prices remain below earlier levels. Sunflower seeds are quoted at around UAH 16,961/t EXW, while CPT processor bids have increased to UAH 17,750/t. The spread between delivery bases indicates that processors are prepared to pay a premium for supplies with favorable logistics. The CIF benchmark for sunflower seeds is around $550/t.
Soybeans are trading at around UAH 16,820/t EXW and UAH 17,133/t on a CPT processor basis, while FCA bids declined by UAH 692/t to UAH 15,500/t. Barley is holding at around UAH 7,100/t on a CPT terminal basis, while FCA increased by UAH 500/t to UAH 5,500/t. GMO rapeseed is quoted at approximately UAH 22,000/t on a CPT terminal basis.
As of October 12, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,969/t, corn at UAH 8,100/t on a CPT terminal basis and UAH 5,500/t EXW, barley at UAH 7,100/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 16,961/t, soybeans at UAH 16,820/t EXW, and GMO rapeseed at UAH 22,000/t.
