Purchase prices for grains in Ukraine on October 1, 2026

At the beginning of October, Ukraine's grain market remains under pressure from increasing new-crop supplies. The most pronounced weakness continues to be seen in the corn segment, while food wheat prices remain relatively stable. Pressure is also increasing in the sunflower and soybean markets.

Corn is currently being purchased at around UAH 6,500/t EXW, while FCA bids have declined to approximately UAH 6,000/t. Pressure is particularly noticeable in central regions, where three factors are acting simultaneously: active harvesting of the new crop, the need to free up storage capacity, and high transportation costs to ports and Ukraine's western border. Export benchmarks are around $203/t DAF and $270/t CIF, meaning logistics continue to have a significant impact on domestic procurement prices.

Wheat is showing considerably greater stability. Grade 2 wheat on a CPT terminal basis has increased to UAH 8,838/t, while Grade 3 wheat is quoted at UAH 8,752/t. EXW prices stand at approximately UAH 6,655/t and UAH 6,150/t respectively. Barley remains around UAH 6,500/t on a CPT terminal basis, indicating little change in this segment.

Pressure has intensified in the sunflower market. CPT processor bids have declined to UAH 17,425/t, while EXW prices remain around UAH 17,279/t. FCA bids are approximately UAH 16,500/t. Increasing arrivals of the new sunflower crop are expanding raw-material supplies, giving processors more room to adjust their procurement prices.

Soybean prices are also weakening on some delivery bases. EXW prices remain around UAH 16,650/t, while CPT processor bids have declined to UAH 16,733/t and FCA bids to UAH 15,500/t. Export benchmarks remain considerably higher at around $443/t DAF and $483/t CIF. Non-GMO rapeseed is quoted at approximately UAH 22,500/t EXW, while GMO rapeseed is around UAH 21,500/t on a CPT terminal basis.

As of October 1, 2026, Grade 2 wheat is being purchased at UAH 8,838/t, corn at UAH 6,500/t, barley at UAH 6,500/t, sunflower seeds at UAH 17,279/t, soybeans at UAH 16,650/t, and rapeseed at UAH 22,500/t. Current procurement prices for grain and oilseed crops by region and delivery basis are provided in the table below.
