Purchase prices for wheat in Ukraine fell by 1 10-15 / ton

Following the decline in World exchange prices for wheat, food wheat in Ukraine is becoming cheaper. Since the beginning of the week, export prices in ports have fallen by 1 10-15/ton to 3 318-320/ton, but Hryvnia prices have fallen only to UAH 9750-9900/ton due to the strengthening of the dollar exchange rate by 3%.

Processors have reduced purchase prices for wheat delivered to the mill to UAH 8,600-9,000/ton due to low demand for flour.

After a sharp collapse in wheat prices at the beginning of the week, there was a slight adjustment on world stock exchanges yesterday, but markets are waiting for news from the oil market and the results of today's OPEC+ meeting, as well as Friday's report by the Bureau of statistics of Canada with final data on wheat production. Analysts estimate the wheat harvest in Canada at 19.3-22.5 million tons (21.2 million tons on average), while the USDA predicts it at 21 million tons compared to 35.18 million tons in 2020/21 MG.

In Russia, as of December 1, 79 million tons of wheat were threshed from 27.8 million hectares, so the final harvest will be 77-78 million tons in the test weight.

• December Black Sea wheat futures at Chicago SWOT rose вчора 3/ton to 3 340.5/ton yesterday after falling протягом 14/ton during the week.

However, in the physical market, the supply prices of Russian food wheat decreased by 4 4-5/ton to F 330-338/ton FOB, which increases its competition with Ukrainian wheat.

• December European wheat futures on Paris ' Euronext rose 2.5 €/ton yesterday to 282 €/ton or 3 319/ton, which increases demand for it as Black Sea wheat prices remain higher.

Winter wheat prices in Chicago and Kansas continue to reduce the price difference.

December futures on US stock exchanges fell:

• by 1 1.74 / ton to Чикаго 286/ton for soft winter SRW wheat in Chicago,
• by 1 1.74 / ton to H 299.2/ton for hard winter HRW wheat in Kansas City,
• by 6 6.25 / ton to.381 / ton for hard spring HRS wheat in Minneapolis.

Today, the Tunisian state agency ODC will hold a tender for the purchase of soft wheat for delivery in January – March 2022, which will also affect the prices of European wheat.
