According to the forecast of the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, Argentina will harvest a record wheat harvest, which will exceed last year's by 38%.

The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange has raised its forecast for Argentina's wheat harvest in 2025/26 MY to a record 25.5 million tons, which would exceed the previous record of 22.4 million tons harvested in 2021/22 MY.

According to the exchange, 33.9% of wheat crops have already been threshed in the country, and the average yield exceeds forecasts and is 3.59 t/ha.

Frosts at the end of October last year caused less damage than expected, so crops were practically not affected. And favorable precipitation throughout the season created good moisture reserves and high yield potential.

It should be noted that in the November world wheat balance, USDA experts increased the forecast for wheat production in Argentina from 19.5 to 22 million tons (compared to 18.5 million tons last season), so in the event of a record harvest in December, we can expect a new recalculation of the world wheat balance with an increase in stocks.
