From September 1, Maersk changes tariffs for container transportation between Ukraine and Gdansk

From September 1, 2026, Maersk is changing tariffs for container rail transportation between Ukrainian terminals and the port of Gdansk, both for import and export cargo.

For imports, the new tariffs come into effect on September 1, for exports they will apply to new applications according to the date of receipt of the equipment release.

According to the company, depending on the departure terminal, export rates for standard dry cargo in 20-foot containers will be $1,400-1,950/container, and in 40-foot containers - $1,500-2,300/container.

Thus, the cost of export from Mostyska to Gdansk will be $1,400 for a 20-foot container and $1,500 for a 40-foot container, and the transit itself will take about two days.

The export tariff from Kyiv, Ternopil, Klevan, and Vinnytsia will be $1,800/container regardless of its size, and delivery to Gdansk will take 5-8 days depending on the terminal.

The most expensive will be transportation from Dnipro-Liske, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv, the cost of which for a 20-foot container will be $1,950, for a 40-foot container - $2,300. Transit time from Dnipro will be 12 days, from Kharkiv and Zaporizhia - 14 days.

Tariffs for imports from Gdansk to Ukraine will be $1,500-1,950 per 20-foot container and $2,000-2,600 per 40-foot container, depending on the terminals.

Maersk's basic rates include the cost of rail transportation, inland terminal processing, cargo security, station fees, and processing of transport documents.
