Yesterday, Russia attacked two ships in Ukrainian ports: one was carrying corn, the other was loading oil.
On Monday, January 12, the Russian Federation again attacked civilian vessels in Ukrainian ports, said Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine - Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba.
According to him, a Russian UAV hit a Panamanian-flagged tanker that was waiting to enter the port to load vegetable oil. One crew member was injured and is currently receiving necessary assistance. Maritime rescue services are working at the scene and extinguishing the fire on board.
The Russians also attacked a San Marino-flagged ship leaving port with a cargo of corn. There were no injuries on the ship, and it continues to move.
"This is yet another proof that Russia is deliberately attacking civilian vessels, disregarding international trade and maritime safety. Despite the constant terror from the aggressor, Ukraine continues to operate its ports and fulfill its international obligations," Kuleba noted.
