Yesterday, the Russian Federation attacked another oil extraction plant in the Dnipro
Yesterday, the Russian Federation used drones to strike the Bunge oil extraction plant in Dnipro, resulting in 300 tons of oil spilling onto the city's roads, Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov reported.
Municipal workers are cleaning the oil from the streets, throwing sand and a mixture, but travel along the embankment will be impossible for another 2-3 days.
"The Russians bombed AMERICAN property because the plant belongs to Bunge of St. Louis, Missouri. Tell the world about it," Filatov wrote.
In Ukraine, Bunge owns an export port terminal and oil extraction plant in Mykolaiv, an oil extraction plant in Dnipro, as well as three elevators located in different regions of the country. In October, it became known that Bunge had submitted a request to the Antimonopoly Committee for permission to purchase the Vinnytsia oil and fat plant of ViOil. The company is also a producer of oil under the TM "Oleyna".
Recall that on December 20, Russian shelling damaged the Allseeds vegetable oil transshipment terminal, resulting in the loss of thousands of tons of sunflower oil and the death of one person.
On the night of December 24-25, the assets of Kernel in the Odessa region were subjected to a hostile attack by the Russian Federation. The Illichivsk Oil and Fat Combine (IOZHK) was under attack.
Such strikes lead to a halt in sunflower processing and a decrease in purchase prices for sunflower, as well as limiting the export of oil and meal from Ukraine, which Russian processors actively take advantage of, raising prices for their products.
