The cost of railway transportation of agricultural products continues to decrease
The volume of exports of agricultural products by rail through the western borders with the EU continues to decrease, and in December averaged 402 wagons/day, Spike Brokers reports.
Wagons balance between the western borders and the ports of Greater Odessa. In the ports of the Black Sea, the rate of unloading of wagons remains on average within 660-950 wagons/day. And the average daily number of wagons moving to the Black Sea ports is increasing.
At the same time, the cost of railway transportation in Ukraine began to fall. Traders and farmers increased road transport, which greatly reduced the demand for railway services. Manipulations with tariffs for railway transportation undermined confidence in Ukrzaliznytsia, so as soon as the number of carriage offers at UZ auctions increased, rental rates dropped from UAH 4,000 to UAH 2,000, Spike Brokers notes.

- Kharkiv region — Danube ports — $47-56/t,
- Lviv region — border with Poland — $25-31/t,
- Lviv region — border with Hungary — 25-35 $/t,
- Lviv region — Odesa — $40-42/t,
- Rivne region — border with Poland — $25-32/t,
- Rivne region — Odesa — $39-45/t,
- Khmelnytskyi region — border with Poland — $31-33/t,
- Chop, Ukraine — Mon. Italy — 50-60 €/t.
