Cargo turnover of Ukrainian ports in 2024 grew to a record 97.2 million tons

Ukrainian seaports processed a record 97.2 million tons of cargo in 2024, which significantly exceeded the previous year's figure of 62 million tons. This indicates the restoration and further development of Ukrainian maritime logistics, even against the backdrop of a difficult geopolitical situation, the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Sea Ports Administration" reported on its Facebook page.
At the same time, the volume of grain cargo processing increased to 60.3 million tons, and ore cargo processing to 18.5 million tons. The most important achievement of the year in the USPA is the stable functioning of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor, through which 3,138 vessels passed, transporting 79.9 million tons of cargo. Of these, 76.4 million tons are Ukrainian products, which were exported to 52 countries around the world.
The Danube ports handled 17.3 million tons of cargo during the year, confirming their strategic importance for the country's economy in the context of the need to create alternative export routes, the USPA noted.
