Ukraine has harvested 17.6 million tons of grain, with wheat being the most threshed in the last week

As of August 3, 17.59 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from 4.01 million hectares or 33.9% of the forecasted area in Ukraine (+6.94 million tons per week). The average yield during the week increased from 4.2 to 4.38 tons/hectare due to the advancement of the harvest to the central, western and northern regions.

In total, on the specified date, the following was collected:

• wheat - 12.51 million tons (+5.88 million tons per week) from 2.74 million hectares or 53.4% of the projected area with an average yield of 4.57 tons/hectare,
• barley - 4.42 million tons (+925.2 thousand tons) from 1.01 million hectares or 68.3% of the projected area, but the average yield decreased from 4.42 to 4.35 tons/hectare,
• peas - 669.5 thousand tons (+146.7 thousand tons) from 261.7 thousand hectares or 88% of the area,
• rapeseed - 2.39 million tons (+1.08 million tons) from 910.6 thousand hectares, or 68.4% of the projected area with an average yield of 2.63 tons/hectare.

The share of wheat in the total volume of grain harvested during the week was 85%.

The largest amount of grain was harvested by farmers in the Odessa region (3.59 million tons), Mykolaiv (2.12 million tons) and Dnipropetrovsk (1.91 million tons) regions, whose share in the total volume of the harvested crop decreased from 54% to 43.4% per week, which indicates the active inclusion of other regions in the harvest.

During the week, the following grains were threshed:

• in the Odessa region – 1.17 million tons,
• Kirovohrad region — 810.7 thousand tons,
• Poltava — 572.2 thousand tons,
• Cherkasy — 504.2 thousand tons.

Further harvest dynamics will primarily depend on the results of the wheat and rapeseed harvest in the central, western, and northern regions.
