More than 15 million tons of grain and oil crops have already been harvested in Ukraine

Ukrainian farmers are actively harvesting, and the pace of harvesting exceeds last year's, although the average yield is somewhat lower. Currently, 15.7 million tons of grain and oil crops of the new crop have been threshed from 4.4 million hectares of land (as of July 20, 2023, 5.888 million tons of grain were harvested from 1.49 million hectares), in particular:

 

  • wheat - from 2.626 million hectares or 60% of the area, 10.3 million tons were collected with a yield of 3.92 tons/ha (as of this date in 2023, the yield was 4.12 tons/ha, in 2022 it was 2.88 tons/ha , in 2021 – 4.11 t/ha),
  • barley - 3.1 million tons were collected from 824.2 thousand hectares or 66% of the area with a yield of 3.76 tons/ha (3.9 tons/ha, 3.09 tons/ha, 4.29 tons/ha),
  • peas - 319.3 thousand tons were harvested from 154.7 thousand hectares or 95% of the area with a yield of 2.06 tons/ha (2.46 tons/ha, 1.84 tons/ha and 2.28 tons/ha),
  • rapeseed - 1.8 million tons were collected from 779.1 thousand hectares or 65% of the area with a yield of 2.31 tons/ha (2.47 tons/ha, 1.94 tons/ha),
  • soybeans - 0.29 thousand tons were harvested from 0.15 thousand hectares.

 

Farmers of the Kherson region began to harvest millet, and 80 tons of seeds have already been threshed from 50 hectares.

 

The leaders in harvesting are Odesa, where 629.4 thousand ha are threshed, Dnipropetrovsk region - 544.2 thousand ha, and Mykolaiv region - 527.5 thousand ha.

 

The best yield - 6.51 t/ha was recorded in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
