According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of July 15, 3.6 million tons of grain were threshed with a yield of 2.93 tons/ha from 1.2 million hectares or 10% of the planned harvest area. In particular, on the specified date, the following was collected:

  • 1.7 million tons of wheat from 588.3 thousand hectares with a yield of 2.88 tons/ha (4.11 tons/ha in 2021),
  • 1.8 million tons of barley from 589.6 thousand hectares with a yield of 3.09 tons/ha (4.29 tons/ha),
  • 77.3 thousand tons of peas from 42.1 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.84 tons/ha (2.28 tons/ha).

 

The leaders in harvesting are the farmers of Odesa, who threshed 982.8 thousand tons of grain from 404 thousand hectares or 39% of the area. Farmers of Dnipropetrovsk region harvested 709.5 thousand tons of grain from 252 thousand hectares or 24% of the area, and from Mykolaiv region - from 247 thousand hectares or 37% of the area threshed 679.2 thousand tons of grain.

 

In addition, in 15 regions of Ukraine, harvesting of winter rape began, of which 259.2 thousand tons have already been threshed from 11% of the area or 133.7 thousand hectares with a yield of 1.94 tons/ha.

 

According to the State Customs Service, since the beginning of the 2022/23 fiscal year, as of July 15, Ukraine has exported 598,000 tons of grain and leguminous crops, which is 55% less than the previous season's figure of 926,000 tons.

 

So, in the current season, the following have already been exported:

  • wheat - 119 thousand tons (248 thousand tons for the same period of 2021/22 MR),
  • barley - 40 thousand tons (180 thousand tons),
  • corn - 435 thousand tons (488 thousand tons).

 

In addition, during the specified period, 1.7 thousand tons of flour were exported, of which 1.4 thousand tons were wheat, while in the same period last year, 5.9 thousand tons of flour were shipped, of which 5.8 thousand tons were wheat.
