More than half of sunflower crops are threshed in Ukraine and Russia

Due to the dry weather in Ukraine and Russia, late crops are being harvested quite actively, and more than half of the sunflower crops have already been threshed. The pace of exports in Ukraine continues to grow, while in Russia they are 23% lower than last year.

As of October 7, Ukrainian farmers from 11.19 million hectares or 70% of the area threshed 49.37 million tons of grain and leguminous crops with an average yield of 4.41 t/ha.

Collected as of the specified date:

• wheat – 32.38 million tons from 7 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4.62 t / ha,
• barley – 9.6 million tons from 2.46 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4 t / ha,
• peas – 576.17 thousand tons from 236.3 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.44 t / ha,
• corn – 4.17 million tons from 786.82 thousand hectares or 14% of the area with a yield of 5.29 t / ha,
• buckwheat – 86.41 thousand tons from 65.32 thousand hectares or 78% of the area with a yield of 1.32 t / ha,
• millet – 160.15 thousand tons from 68.91 thousand hectares or 88% of the area with a yield of 2.32 t / ha,
• sunflower-8.75 million tons from 3.85 million hectares or 59% of the area with a yield of 2.27 t / ha,
• soybeans – 1.49 million tons from 588.75 thousand hectares or 46% of the area with a yield of 2.54 t / ha,
• rapeseed-2.9 million tons from 1.01 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.86 t / ha,
• sugar beet – 3.44 million tons from an area of 73.08 thousand hectares with a yield of 47.1 t/ha.

In Russia, as of October 7, 109.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from 44.5 million hectares.

In total, as of the specified date, it was collected:

• wheat-75.6 million tons from 26.8 million hectares or 94% of the area with a yield of 2.82 t / ha,
• barley – 18.4 million tons from 7.7 million hectares or 97% of the area with a yield of 2.39 t / ha,
• corn – 4.5 million tons from 927.9 thousand hectares with a yield of 4.85 t / ha,
• sunflower-7.7 million tons from 4.8 million hectares or 51% of the area with a yield of 1.6 t / ha,
• rapeseed-2.5 million tons from 1.4 million hectares with a yield of 1.78 t / ha,
• soybeans – 2.1 million tons from 1.2 million hectares with a yield of 1.75 t / ha,
• sugar beet – 17.9 million tons from an area of 473.6 thousand hectares with a yield of 37.8 t/ha.

Ukraine in my 2021/22 as of October 8 increased exports of grain and leguminous crops by 18% compared to the corresponding period last year to 15.38 million tons, in particular:

• wheat-by 6.6% to 9.74 million tons,
• barley – by 28% to 3.91 million tons,
• corn - by 94% to 1.5 million tons,
• Rye-up to 50.8 thousand tons.

At the same time, the export of wheat flour decreased by 29% to 37.1 thousand tons.

Grain exports from Russia in the current season compared to the same period last year decreased by 22.7% to 10.9 million tons, in particular:

• wheat-by 19.8% to 9.4 million tons,
• barley – by 32.5% to 1.4 million tons,
• corn – by 62.9% to 100 thousand tons.
