In Ukraine as of 15.04.16 planted 2.2 million hectares of spring grain and leguminous crops

the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine published information about the results of sowing campaign as of April 15, 2016. Farmers sowed early grains and leguminous crops 2.28 million ha, which represents 91 % of the projected area.

According to the Ministry on a specified date planted:

the

• spring wheat 155 thousand hectares, or 90 % of the planned amount,
• the
• barley 1,707 million hectares or 89 % of the planned amount,
• the
• oats 203 thousand hectares or 93 % of the planned amount,
• the
• peas 215 thousand hectares, which is 112 % of the planned amount,
• the
• sugar beet 249 thousand hectares or 93 % of the planned amount,
• the
• sunflower 1.28 million ha or 25 % of the planned amount,
• the
• corn 607 thousand hectares or 13 % of the planned amount.

the country began planting soybeans, and as of today have already been sown 88 thousand hectares of this oilseed, which is 4 % of the planned sowing area of soybeans.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of agrarian policy of Ukraine in the season 2015/16 MG the total surface planted early spring grains and leguminous crops will total 2.5 million hectares. Among them, the farmers will be allocated:

the

• 173 thousand hectares of sowing areas under spring wheat,
• the
• 1,918 million hectares under sowing of barley,
• the
• 218 thousand hectares for sowing of oats,
• the
• 192 thousand hectares for sowing of peas.

the Ministry Also informs that in addition to these crops in the current season is scheduled to sow:

the

• of 5.02 million hectares of sunflower,
• the
• 4,52 million hectares of corn,
• the
• of 2.07 million hectares of soy,
• the
• 269 thousand hectares of sugar beet.
