Almost all planned areas sown with winter rapeseed in Ukraine

As of November 18, Ukrainian farmers had sown 6.39 million hectares with winter crops, which is 97.5% of the planned area, the Ministry of Economy reported.

 

On the specified date, winter crops were sown:

• wheat — 4.66 million hectares;
• barley - 582.2 thousand hectares;
• rye - 66.1 thousand hectares.

 

Among the leaders in terms of grain crop areas are Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

 

Farmers in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne and Chernihiv regions have completed sowing grain.

 

In addition, Ukrainian farmers have actually completed sowing winter rapeseed, having sown 1.08 million hectares or 96% of the projected area. It should be noted that last year, at this date, 1.08 million hectares were sown with winter rapeseed, but the actual area sown turned out to be larger.
