In Ukraine, the harvesting of early grain and rapeseed is almost completed, and in Russia wheat is threshed on 70% of the area

Forecasts of a good wheat and barley harvest in Ukraine were confirmed, and the volume of wheat production in Russia is still unknown, as a result of which wheat prices increased by 35% in August.

As of August 19, 43.7 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops with a yield of 4.4 t/ha were harvested in Ukraine from 98% of the area or 9.2 million hectares, in particular:

• wheat-from 6.9 million hectares or 98% of the area, a record 32 million tons were threshed with a yield of 4.62 t / ha,
• barley – from 2.4 million hectares or 99% of the area, 10.027 million tons were threshed with a yield of 4.1 t / ha,
• peas – from 241 thousand hectares or 99% of the area, 559 thousand tons were threshed with a yield of 2.32 t/ha.

In addition, 2.7 million tons of rapeseed with a yield of 2.75 t/ha were harvested from 996 thousand hectares or 99% of the area.

The largest grain harvests were collected in the Odessa and Kharkiv regions – 3.977 million tons and 3.452 million tons, but the best yield was obtained in the Khmelnitsky region: 6.09 t/ha of early grain crops and 3.5 t/ha of rapeseed. The yield above 5 t / ha was obtained by farmers of Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Ternopil and Cherkasy regions.

Agricultural producers have already started sowing winter rapeseed, taking into account the forecasts of prolonged precipitation for the coming week.

In Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture resumed the publication of daily harvest reports, according to which, as of August 24, 85.6 million tons of early grain and leguminous crops with a yield of 2.81 t/ha were harvested from 30.5 million hectares, in particular:

• wheat-from 20.2 million hectares or 70% of the area, 62.7 million tons were threshed with a yield of 3.11 t / ha,
• barley – from 6.1 million hectares or 75% of the area, 15.2 million tons were threshed with a yield of 2.48 t/ha.

In addition, the country is actively harvesting oilseeds:

• from 520.9 thousand hectares, 1.1 million tons of rapeseed were threshed with a yield of 2.12 t/ha.
• from 13.1 thousand hectares, 19 thousand tons of sunflower were harvested with a yield of 1.45 t / ha,
• from 4.3 thousand hectares, 5.7 thousand tons of soybeans were harvested with a yield of 1.33 t/ha.

In Moldova, 1.5 million tons of wheat with a yield of 4.6 t/ha were harvested from 97% of the area.
