In the season 2016/17 my, Ukraine exported over 29 million tons of grain
According to the press service of Ministry of agrarian policy, as of March 1, 2017 Ukraine increased grain exports to 29.43 million tonnes, 2.42 million tonnes higher than in the same period of the previous season.
So, as of 1 March 2017 in comparison with the similar period of season 2015/16 MG
- export of maize increased by 70 thousand tons to 11.05 million tons
- wheat exports grew by 1.72 million tons to 13.56 million tons,
- export of barley increased by 700 thousand tons to of 4.66 million.
in addition, in comparison with the season of 2015/16, increased flour exports by 38.3 thousand tons to 242.8 thousand tons, sugar by 33% to 344 thousand tons.
soybean Exports increased by 38% from 1,105 million tons in the season 2015/16 to 1.526 million tonnes in the 2016/17 season MG.
in February 2017 Ukraine exported 2.86 million tons of grain. The main importer of domestic grain became the EU, which accounts for 37% of total exports.
the Largest buyer of Ukrainian wheat remains India (20%), maize – Iran (17%), barley - Saudi Arabia (42%).
