In 2016/17 MG Ukraine has set a record for exports of sunflower oil

In the 2016/17 season Ukrainian farmers managed to collect the largest in the history of independence of the country's sunflower crop is 13.6 million tons and processing plants produced a record amount of sunflower oil – of 6.27 million tonnes.

in September 2016 – August 2017 domestic enterprises has supplied the world markets of 5.84 million tonnes of sunflower oil, and it is by 30.4% higher than the results of the previous Mr, - reports a press-service of the Association "Ukroliyaprom". The buyers of domestic steel oil 124 countries around the world.

in addition, in comparison with the previous season, Ukraine has increased the supply of refined sunflower oil to third countries by 2.6 times to 478,7 thousand tons, and soy by 16%. The reduction of the yield of canola led to the reduction of its processing and the decline in exports of rapeseed oil by 54.2%. Export of sunflower meal in relation to 2015/16 increased by 25% to 4.73 million tonnes.

Decrease in yield of sunflower in 2017/18 MG will reduce the potential of the domestic production of sunflower oil.

USDA predicts exports of sunflower oil from Ukraine in the 2017/18 season at 5 million tons, while its production will be of 5.63 million tons.
