Ukrzaliznytsia sharply reduced the fee for the use of grain trucks for 1.5 months

Strong competition between carriers and a reduction in exports in the current season forced Ukrzaliznytsia to significantly reduce transportation tariffs in order to increase the volume of rail transportation compared to road transportation, reports Rail.insider, citing information from the CTL branch.

Thus, the rate for the use of a grain wagon when transporting grain cargo in freight and empty trips across the territory of Ukraine and beyond its borders on a 1520 mm gauge for the period from May 15 to June 30, 2025 has been reduced from the current level of 403 UAH/day to 90 UAH/day excluding VAT.
