Ukrainian farmers have sown 97% of the planned areas and are already completing the sowing

According to the Ministry of Economy, as of June 2, 5.84 million hectares or 97% of the planned area was sown with grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine, and 6.9 million hectares or 95% of the planned area was sown with industrial crops.

In terms of crops, on the specified date the following were sown:

• corn – 4.34 million hectares (98% of the forecast),
• spring barley — 713.4 thousand hectares (95%),
• peas — 259.5 thousand hectares (95%),
• spring wheat — 186.2 thousand hectares (100%),
• oats — 137.5 thousand hectares (100%),
• buckwheat — 51.1 thousand hectares (90%),
• millet — 37.6 thousand hectares (94%),
• sunflower — 4.73 million hectares (95%),
• soybeans — almost 2 million hectares (96%).

In addition, 190 thousand hectares were sown with sugar beets, which is 96% of the planned area.
