Ukrainian farmers threshed 21.5% of the projected area
As of July 27, 2026, 10.63 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed in Ukraine from 2.53 million hectares or 21.5% of the projected areas (+5.18 million tons per week) with an average yield of 4.2 t/a.
During the week, the average yield increased from 4.07 to 4.2 t/ha, which indicates the expansion of harvesting regions and the inclusion of regions with high crop productivity in the harvest.
By crop, the following was collected on the specified date:
- wheat – 6.61 million tons (+4.03 million tons per week) from an area of 1.53 million hectares or 30% of the forecast with an average yield of 4.32 tons/hectare,
- barley – 3.49 million tons (+927.9 thousand tons per week) from an area of 790 thousand hectares or 53.5% of the forecast with an average yield of 4.42 tons/hectare,
- peas – 522.8 thousand tons (+222 thousand tons per week) from an area of 209.6 thousand hectares or 71% of the forecast,
- rapeseed – 1.31 million tons (+881.4 thousand tons per week) from an area of 539.6 thousand hectares or 40.8% of the forecast with an average yield of 2.43 tons/hectare.
The largest volumes of grain were threshed during the week in the following regions:
- Odessa – 829 thousand tons,
- Kirovohrad — 621 thousand tons,
- Poltava — 551 thousand tons,
- Mykolaiv — 495 thousand tons
- Dnipropetrovsk — 488 thousand tons.
Harvesting is also accelerating in the north, in particular, 153.55 thousand tons of grain were threshed in the Sumy region per week, and 70.64 tons in the Chernihiv region.
In total, farmers in the Kirovohrad region have already harvested over 1 million tons of grain, and in the Poltava region - 645.2 thousand tons.
