Ukraine harvested 21 million tons and exported 2.2 million tons of grain

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, as of August 8, 27.322 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested in Ukraine from 6.521 million hectares or 59% of the area with an average yield of 4.19 tons/ha.

 

Collected by culture:

• wheat - 20.94 million tons from 4.73 million hectares (97% of the plan) with a yield of 4.42 tons/year,
• barley - 5.2 million tons from 1.37 million hectares (98%) with a yield of 3.81 tons/ha,
• peas - 457.7 thousand tons from 207.6 thousand hectares (99%) with a yield of 2.21 tons/ha,
• buckwheat - 1.8 thousand tons from 1.5 thousand ha (2%) with a yield of 1.24 tons/ha,
• millet - 4.45 thousand tons from 1.9 thousand ha (2%) with a yield of 2.34 tons/ha,
• other grain and leguminous crops – 719.3 thousand tons from 210 thousand ha (59%) with a yield of 3.43 tons/ha.

 

Odesa is the leader in harvesting, where 1.073 million hectares of land are threshed, while Khmelnytskyi received the best yield - 6.51 t/ha.

 

Oil crops were collected on the specified date:

• rapeseed - 3.318 million tons from 1.22 million hectares (97% of the plan) with a yield of 2.72 tons/ha,
• soybeans - 1 thousand tons from 0.7 thousand ha with a yield of 1.52 tons/ha.

 

According to the State Customs Service, in 2024/25 MR (as of August 9) Ukraine exported 4.713 million tons of grain and leguminous crops, in particular in August - 1.011 million tons, while in 2023 the corresponding figures were 2.762 million tons and 488 thousand tons.

 

In terms of crops, the following were exported:

• wheat – 2.157 million tons (of which 611 thousand tons in August),
• barley - 677 thousand tons (96 thousand tons),
• rye - 0.3 thousand tons (0),
• corn - 1.862 million tons (302 thousand tons).

 

The export of flour from Ukraine on the specified date, compared to the previous season, decreased from 12.9 to 5.9 thousand tons, in particular wheat - from 12.5 to 5.4 thousand tons.
