Ukraine harvested 10 million tons of sunflower and 6 million tons of soybeans, and already exported 17 million tons of grain

In Ukraine, 72.9 million tons of grain were threshed from 19.5 million hectares or 98% of the area, including 53.4 million tons of grain and 19.5 million tons of oil crops.

 

Currently collected:

  • wheat - 22.4 million tons from 4.9 million hectares or 100% of the area,
  • barley - 5.6 million tons from 1.4 million hectares (100% of the area),
  • peas - 469 thousand tons from 212.3 thousand hectares (100%),
  • corn - 23.6 million tons from 3.7 million hectares (94%)
  • millet - 161.3 thousand tons from 88.2 thousand ha (87%),
  • buckwheat - 131.7 thousand tons from 88.1 thousand hectares (99%),
  • sunflower – 10.1 million tons from 4.9 million hectares (97%)
  • soybeans - 6 million tons from 2.6 million hectares (99%)
  • rapeseed - 3.5 million tons from 1.2 million hectares (100%)
  • sugar beets - 12 million tons from 251.2 thousand hectares (97%).

 

The leaders in the gross harvest of grain are the farmers of Odesa (4.6 million tons), Chernihiv Oblast (4.4 million tons) and Poltava Oblast (4.2 million tons), while the highest yield was recorded in Khmelnytskyi Oblast (7.75 t/ha), Chernihiv Oblast (6.98 t/ha) and Ternopil Oblast (6.82 t/ha).

 

According to the State Customs Service, in 2024/25 MR (as of November 22) Ukraine exported 17.203 million tons of grain and legumes, in particular in November - 2.804 million tons, while in the same period last year 12.033 million tons of grain were shipped, of which in November – 2.793 million tons.

 

On the specified date, the following were exported:

  • wheat - 8.619 million tons (in particular, in November - 878 thousand tons),
  • barley – 1.809 million tons (110 thousand tons),
  • rye – 10.8 thousand tons (0.2 thousand tons),
  • corn – 6.47 million tons (1.789 million tons),
  • flour - 29.8 thousand tons (4.2 thousand tons), including wheat - 27.1 thousand tons (3.7 thousand tons).
