Ukraine maintains a high rate of sunflower oil export

Despite a significant reduction in sunflower stocks in Ukraine, the export of sunflower oil in June remained at a high level and amounted, according to preliminary data, to 476 thousand tons, which significantly exceeded the expectations of market participants and the 453 thousand tons exported in May, Shareuapotential reports.

The main buyers of domestic sunflower oil in June were Romania, Turkey and India.

In general, in 2022/23 MR Ukraine increased the export of sunflower oil from 3.8 million tons to 4.7 million tons compared to the same period of the previous season.

It is possible that the total export of sunflower oil in 2022/23 MR will reach 5 million tons, since there are still two months left before the end of the season.

As a result of a significant reduction in sunflower stocks in Ukraine, its export decreased to an insignificant level and amounted to only 1.9 million tons in the current season.
