Ukraine completes harvesting, but the rate of exports is inferior to last year
According to the Ministry, Ukrainian farmers as of November 12, with 22.8 million hectares collected 75.2 million tons of major crops. In particular, grain and leguminous crops from 14.1 million hectares, or 92% of the area harvested 57.2 million T.

millet of 241.7 thousand tons 148,6 thousand ha or 99% of the area with a productivity of 1.63 t/ha,
buckwheat – 104,7 thousand tonnes from 77.9 per thousand hectares or 99% of the area with productivity of 1.34 t/ha,
sunflower 12.9 million tonnes from 6.3 million hectares or 99% with a yield of 2.05 t/ha,
soy – 2.6 million t from 1.3 million ha or 94% with a yield of 2 t/ha,
sugar beet – by 6.7 million tonnes 161,6 thousand ha or 75% with a yield of 41.4 t/ha.
- corn – 21.4 million tons from 4.3 million hectares or 78% of the area with a yield of 4.98 t/ha,
With the beginning of the season Ukraine exported 18,476 million tonnes of grain, which is 15.5% less than the corresponding period in 2019
the Increase in the supply of maize on the market as harvesting has led to growth of export of grain during the week by 18% to 654 thousand tons, bringing the total export season reached 3.4 million tonnes, which is 36 per cent behind last year's pace of exports. Due to a lack of offers traders increased the procurement prices in the port to 220-230 $/t or 7500-7800 UAH/t, which has increased sales by the manufacturers. However, at the end of the week the market started to get nervous, as traders tried to reduce prices to the level of 210-215 $/t or 7200-7300 UAH/t
wheat Exports for the week decreased by $ 465 to 312 thousand tons, and just season reached 11.2 million tonnes, which is 9% below the corresponding indicator 2019, According to the Memorandum, until the end of the season can be exported 6.3 mln tonnes of wheat, but traders raised prices to 240-245 $/t or 8150-8250 UAH/t, to execute existing contracts, and closed down the program for wheat, as most manufacturers have moved sales of wheat in the spring.
Exports of barley for the week increased by 7 times up to 100 thousand t, and in total, the season has reached 3.5 million tonnes, which is 3% higher than the corresponding figure 2019 Purchase prices for barley in the port remains high 208-210 $/t or 7200-7300 UAH/t
High export prices on the world market allows producers to compensate for crop losses and make a profit. In the South and centre of the country, the farmers suffered losses, whereas in the Northern and Western regions they have good harvests and high profits.
