Ukraine introduces a temporary shipping route for grain transportation

After Russia's withdrawal from the grain agreement, Ukraine introduced a temporary shipping route for grain transportation.

According to Reuters, the corresponding letter, signed by the First Deputy Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine, Vasyl Shkurakov, was sent to the UN shipping agency and the International Maritime Organization (IMO), which is the UN shipping agency.

The letter states that "Ukraine has decided on a temporary basis to introduce a recommended sea route that will extend to the territorial waters of Ukraine and the exclusively maritime economic zone of Romania, which will allow unblocking the movement of foreign vessels in the northwestern waters of the Black Sea."
