Ukraine opens new markets for dairy products
For 10 months p. g. Ukraine increased exports of dairy products compared to the same period last year to 73.2 per cent to 225,6 $ million, as reported in the Association of milk producers (AVM).
in Particular, the export of cheese increased by 16.4% to 7.4 thousand tons the Largest buyers were Kazakhstan, whose share in the total exports of cheese amounted to 48%, or 12.6 million $, Moldova and 23.9%, or 6.3 million $, Egypt – 11% or 2.9 million dollars. Imports of cheese rose by 42.8% to 7.7 thousand tonnes, and in monetary terms, at 58,45% to 35.6 million $.
Exports of whey increased by 38.4 per cent to 27.5 million tonnes, and in monetary terms by 92.2% to 21.6 million $. The main consumer of the whey was China, which accounted for 46.7% of exports or $10 million.
the Export of oil increased by 152% to 24.5 thousand tonnes, and in monetary terms by almost three times to 96.8 million $. The main buyers are Turkey (18.2 million dollars), Morocco (16.6 million $) and Netherlands ($10 million). Simultaneously, the import of butter in Ukraine decreased by 52% to 470 tonnes, and in monetary terms by 17% to 2.8 million dollars.
