Ukraine will get a record corn harvest and average yield this season

The weather in the current season contributes to a record corn harvest in Ukraine, which will amount to approximately 39 million tons due to the historically high yield of 7.3 t/ha. For at least another week, dry weather with night frosts will prevail, which will allow you to complete corn harvesting without loss and reduce its moisture, which is why farmers restrain harvesting in certain fields.

More than 78.5 million tons of wheat have already been threshed in Russia, which is 4 million tons higher than the November USDA estimate.

In Ukraine, as of November 18, 76.7 million tons of grain and leguminous crops with an average yield of 5.16 t/ha were threshed from 14.9 million hectares or 93% of the area, namely::

• wheat – 32.38 million tons from 7 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4.62 t / ha,
• barley – 9.6 million tons from 2.46 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4 t / ha,
• peas – 576.17 thousand tons from 236.3 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.44 t / ha,
• corn – 31.8 million tons from 4.4 million hectares or 80% of the area with a yield of 7.22 t / ha,
• buckwheat – 110.7 thousand tons from 83.5 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 1.33 t / ha,
• millet – 184.7 thousand tons from 77.7 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.38 t / ha,
• sunflower seeds – 15.8 million tons from 6.44 million hectares or 99% of the area with a yield of 2.45 t / ha,
• soybeans – 3.4 million tons from 1.3 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.64 t / ha,
• rapeseed – 2.9 million tons from 1.01 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.86 t/ha.

From 217.9 thousand hectares or 96% of the area, 10.3 million tons of sugar beet were harvested with a yield of 47.07 t/ha.

In Russia, as of November 18, 124.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were threshed from 45.1 million hectares, in particular:

• wheat-78.5 million tons from 27.8 million hectares or 98% of the area with a yield of 2.82 t / ha,  
• barley – 18.9 million tons from 7.9 million hectares or 99% of the area with a yield of 2.39 t / ha,
• corn – 14.5 million tons from 2.7 million hectares with a yield of 5.37 t / ha,
• sunflower-15.3 million tons from 9.5 million hectares or 98% of the area with a yield of 1.61 t / ha,
• soybeans – 4.9 million tons from 3 million hectares with a yield of 1.63 t / ha,
• rapeseed – 3 million tons from 1.6 million hectares with a yield of 1.88 t/ha.

From 978.3 thousand hectares, 39.7 million tons of sugar beet were harvested with a yield of 40.6 t/ha. And 18.3 million hectares of winter crops were sown.
