Ukraine in 2017 increased exports of agricultural products by 38%
For the three months 2017 the export of domestic agricultural products compared with the same period last year increased by 38.3% and reached 4.6 billion $. The total volume of the foreign trade operations connected with agricultural products increased by 27.4%, or 1,238 billion $.
the Largest share of exports of agricultural products accounted for crops – 37%, different types of oil – 27,35 and oilseeds – 10,7%.
currently, the Ministry agroprodmach working to increase sales of quality products with added value, which will strengthen the domestic economy and raise the competitiveness of Ukrainian producers.
the Largest consumers of Ukrainian agricultural products remain Asian countries (44.4% from total exports), the EU (28,6%) and African countries(18%). So, India has acquired the domestic products on 683,2 million $, Egypt – 454,5 million $, Spain – 297,4 million $, Iran – 254.7 million $, Italy – 227,5 million $, Turkey – 226,4 million dollars.
Recall that in Q1 of this year, Ukraine exported goods 10,372 $ billion, and imported 11,109 billion dollars.
within the specified period, the export of agricultural products amounted to 4,599 billion $. Key positions in domestic exports is:
- sunflower oil – 1,204 billion $,
- corn – 1,114 billion $,
- wheat – 0,491 $million,
- sugar – 0,131 mln $,
- meat and barley – 0,84 million $,
- confectionery and bakery products – 0.29 to $million.
the Import of agricultural products in the 1st quarter of 2017 amounted to 1,157 billion $. Main items are:
- sunflower seeds 0,164 million $,
- corn 0.73 million $,
- frozen fish 0.73 million $,
- citrus 0.5 million $,
- bananas 0.38 million $,
- palm oil 0,35 million dollars.
