Ukraine and Russia complete late grain harvesting

Dry weather in Ukraine and Russia contributes to the harvesting of late crops, but prevents the sowing of winter crops.

In Ukraine, as of November 11, 73.4 million tons of grain and leguminous crops with an average yield of 5.08 t/ha were harvested from 14.5 million hectares or 91% of the area.

On the specified date threshed:

• wheat – 32.38 million tons from 7 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4.62 t / ha, 
• barley – 9.6 million tons from 2.46 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 4 t / ha, 
• peas – 576.17 thousand tons from 236.3 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.44 t / ha,
• corn – 28.1 million tons from 4 million hectares or 73% of the area with a yield of 7.05 t / ha, 
• buckwheat – 110 thousand tons from 83.3 thousand hectares or 99% of the area with a yield of 1.32 t / ha,
• millet – 184.7 thousand tons from 77.7 thousand hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.38 t / ha,
• sunflower seeds – 15.6 million tons from 6.4 million hectares or 98% of the area with a yield of 2.45 t / ha, 
• soy – 3.3 million tons from 1.3 million hectares or 99% of the area with a yield of 2.64 t / ha, 
• rapeseed – 2.9 million tons from 1.01 million hectares or 100% of the area with a yield of 2.86 t/ha.

Sugar beet from 205.7 thousand hectares or 91% of the area was harvested 9.6 million tons with a yield of 46.98 t/ha.

The leader in yield remains Khmelnitsky region, where the average yield of corn is 11 t/ha, and sunflower – 3.42 t/ha.

As of November 8, 7.3 million hectares or 94% of the planned areas were sown with winter crops in Ukraine, in particular:

• wheat-6.2 million hectares or 94% of the plan,
• barley – 924 thousand hectares or 91%,
• Rye-158 thousand hectares or 99%,
• rapeseed-1 million hectares or 98%.

In Russia, as of November 11, 122.8 million tons of grain and leguminous crops were harvested from 44.8 million hectares, in particular:

• wheat-78.1 million tons from 27.8 million hectares or 98% of the area with a yield of 2.83 t / ha, 
• barley – 18.8 million tons from 7.9 million hectares or 99% of the area with a yield of 2.38 t / ha, 
• corn – 13.2 million tons from 2.5 million hectares with a yield of 5.28 t / ha, 
• sunflower-15.1 million tons from 9.5 million hectares or 98% of the area with a yield of 1.59 t / ha, 
• soybeans – 4.8 million tons from 2.9 million hectares with a yield of 1.66 t / ha, 
• rapeseed – 3 million tons from 1.6 million hectares with a yield of 1.88 t/ha.

38.6 million tons of sugar beet were harvested from 957.9 thousand hectares.

Winter crops were sown in the country on 18.2 million hectares, or 96% of the planned area.
